In UK a patient is referred to a hypnotherapist after a long course of chemical treatment, when farmacology fails. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I trained with Michael Yapco in Sydney Australia. He was only 40 then. He is one of the best in his field with a tremendous aspiration 2 show compassion towards everybody he assimilates with. Michael learnt a lot of his work through DR MILTON ERIKSON. I know of nobody who has Michaels skills. We need more caring people like him. He also has a lovely wife Dianne who is his guiding light. Never forget you mate. When I attended your workshop I was only a mere Boilermaker lol and was surrounded by therapists and doctors lol. On the last day I hypnotized a Psychiatrist lol. Anyway Long Live Dr Michael & Dianne Yapco.

LIked his answer for the question, 'Why would you teach": "When you're aware of something of value, you want to share it …". It's interesting what Dr. Yapko said about the in-depth conversations in the "early days" how the pioneers availed themselves and set examples as role models for the next generation of hypnotists. He also points out the importance of incorporating hypnosis into curricula of students' academic and clinical training. As a retired therapist/hypnotist, I found this clip to be quite interesting.
